C-byrån was founded by two senior consultants with extensive experience advising well-established brands and organisations in both Swedish and international contexts. Our backgrounds span leading PR agencies, independent consultancy, and executive communication roles, including positions as Heads of Communications and Secretaries General within companies, organisations and foundations.
Our combined experience means we are accustomed to taking responsibility in complex assignments – strategically and operationally – and in situations where judgement, pace and integrity are critical.

Founders
Carin has extensive experience in strategic communication and PR, both as a senior advisor and in executive communication roles. She has worked closely with leadership teams and organisations on positioning, change and public visibility, often in contexts where decisions are business-critical and expectations on clarity and judgement are high.
A core part of Carin’s work focuses on crisis communication and high-pressure situations. She regularly supports executives and spokespersons when scrutiny is intense, timelines are compressed and coordinated, accurate communication is essential.
Alongside her corporate advisory work, Carin has a long-standing background in the cultural sector, with responsibility for press and communications within music and performing arts. This has given her a strong understanding of the relationship between creative content, storytelling and communication – and how complex ideas can be translated into clear, relevant narratives.
Carin also has broad experience from innovation-driven and start-up environments, including social entrepreneurship. She is accustomed to working in early-stage contexts and building communication structures from the ground up. In addition to advisory work, she has long experience in media training and communication education, working hands-on with leadership teams, spokespersons and communication professionals.
Caroline has long experience working at the intersection of communication, societal issues and international contexts. She has held senior leadership roles within organisations and foundations, with responsibility for strategic communication, external relations and issues attracting high public and media attention.
She also brings substantial experience in fundraising and donor relations through executive roles within aid and fundraising organisations, where communication, trust and long-term relationships are central. Much of this work has been carried out in international environments and in close cooperation with global actors and decision-makers.
Caroline is accustomed to operating in complex and often sensitive contexts where trust, timing and precision are decisive. Her work is characterised by a strong analytical approach and a deep understanding of how communication functions in multi-stakeholder environments, across cultures and under high demands for credibility and integrity.
She also has a long-standing commitment to human rights and is a co-founder of a foundation awarding an internationally recognised prize for civil courage.

In addition to our own expertise, we work with a well-established network of senior specialists. We regularly assemble tailored teams based on the nature, scope and requirements of each assignment, collaborating with experienced professionals within areas such as graphic design, legal advisory, copywriting, film and video production, and digital communication.
